Its a hard judgement to make. The MC does stand up for himself, but has the rebelliousness physically beaten out of him. His initial emotional weakness from the sudden turn of events is also quite literally hypnotized out of him so he can serve better as both a personal slave toy and a knight.


It's probably too early to call and will depend on future story version beats. But before the whole adventure, he was down on his luck before being whisked away. Its all out of his control now, and there is a small comedy of errors happening because of all these circumstances outside his control.
