Personally, i havent played the full game (from what i've played its awesome!!) , but i have watched through all the endings, and it feels like it kind of represents a toxic relationship, it seems cute and nice on the outside, but slowly reveals its true intentions, and how like in real life you find yourself torn between your love and desire to trust it but it keeps hurting you, and how sometimes its hard to let go, the cat constantly tries to manipulate the player, and in the ending, where its a pile of goop, tries to manipulate one more time for the player to stay by saying it loves them, but when they say no the last time, it switches to hating them. This is very amazing work and how perfectly you managed to capture it in a cat-horror game!! Even if that wasnt really your intention its amazingly done and im shocked!! :D gameplay is also amazing, and i love the ending with the kitten i think it was adorable amazing job

And also the fact they managed to capture the thought of wanting to go back to that person, blaming yourself, them being all you can think about, if you switch out the “it” and “cat” in those lines with “him/her” it would make sense if you get what I mean, that feeling of wanting them back even though they hurt you, and then overtime just getting over it and realising holding onto that person was just causing you more hurt, and how much happier you are without them, and then finding someone better, being cautious and a bit afraid but then you realise that not all of them are bad, I think the symbolism in this game is amazing. The kitten represents a fresh and good start, and I love that. The game creator outdid themselves, amazing job!!
Thank you!
Being able to move on from those kinds of relationships isn't easy, but I wanted to show that it is possible with time, and being kind and patient with yourself. It was important to me to have a little black kitten in the end to show that, like you said, not all relationships will turn out badly -- that when you're ready, a fresh new start is out there for you.
Thank you again for the kind comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
Thank you so much!
I was trying to portray it as an abusive/toxic relationship! The cat trying to flatter you, ensure you that you're all it needs, that you're perfect, basically lovebombing you, and saying it'll die without you -- it shows in the ending especially how manipulative the cat really is, so you got it right!
It's not the same for everyone, but going through all the torture was mostly to prepare people for having to get to the 'endgame' endings -- ending 36 is the first one and even after everything that happened, it's a tough first step to breaking free from the cat's hold.
I'm glad you've been enjoying the game and its story!
