I'm still having issues with the game font (all black and hard to read) even though I have supposedly removed all of the previous saves. How do I fix this issue?

What I'd recommend you do is download a previous version (specifically 0.6.0 or anything older) of the game over here:
https://chellaytiger.itch.io/by-your-hands-archive
Then in the old version of the game, change the text color to white. This should change the text in the newer version to white text.
