Hi, thanks a lot again for your thoughtful, detailed review!

Yes, it was actually quite fun to write Henri and Annelise in a way that would make them mirror each other, to expand on the characterisation indeed. After all, Annelise has to be more than just Cinderella, and Henri more than just a Prince Charming. I also enjoyed subverting the perception they have of each other (despite caring about the real longing he saw in Annelise's eyes, he still ends up seeing her as some sort of otherworldly being, like those who only belong in fairy tales, somehow making her some sort of fairy tale figure, like a Prince Charming; on the other hand, Annelise has the desire to save him, therefore becoming Henri's Prince Charming to some extent).

Thanks for noticing the glass slipper symbolism and how it connects to the "beyond the fairy tale" theme (especially considering Annelise wants to approach Henri's vulnerability, humanity, rather than his "fairy tale Prince" appearance).

Thanks for your kind words and I'm glad you found it romantic! I had fun making it as fairy tale-like as I could, so I'm glad it ended up fitting the jam!
