DNA and Genetics Testing...

So I had a bit of a random shower thought earlier... I was wondering what would happen if you gave Asterion a DNA or ancestry test. He's technically a hybrid human and bovid, possibly some god DNA in there too from Poseidon?

My best guess is it would definitely show his human Cretean heritage from his mother. I am unsure about the rest though.

Then my mind had *another* idea, if Asterion is a hybrid (Human. Bovid, [God?]) does he also have a human style immune system? The hotel/labyrinth I think is some type of extra-dimensional space that's why P and Oscar had trouble finding it, and why it is able to appear anywhere for travelers. So Asterion may not have encountered some common illnesses because the realm is technically separate from our reality, only appearing and reappearing where it needs to... So, could Asterion get sick from the common cold, as an example, especially if he hadn't encountered that variant before?

on an recent post, minoanon stated that the hotel has contracts put in place that prevent some types of organisms from reproducing and thus might cure certain illness. however, taking in consideration the labyrinth is built to torture, the valley may be capable to instill diseases upon him.

Ah! I hadn't see that post (I'll have to go find it now :D ) I suppose it makes sense that those contracts might prevent the Master and the guests of the hotel from getting sick, or lessening/ curing any existing sickness, but it would likely still harm Asterion considering the Labyrinth is meant for torture.

It's strange sometimes I forget that the Labyrinth is still meant to be torturing Asterion, because I get too focused on how it has become the Hotel, which is meant to be a place of healing for others (at least that is what Asterion is trying to turn the Labyrinth into).

i would say it's a place to help those who are lost rather than healing. it gives different implications on what the hotel does.

it's like saying a cemetery is a place of resting. people don't usually go there to relax.

That's a good analogy 馃槀
