Minor spoiler from his route a year ago or so, idk. also, lol at the -3.

Don't remember all the details but it's where you were studying at his place, his father comes back and shows his sexist side talking about your mother and gets on your case and basically makes you go back home all while Shoichi just sits there and lets it happen because he can't stand up to his father at all.

I get it's supposed to kinda show what he has to deal with at home and all, but the fact he just does what his father says and wont have your back with him at all when he 'loves' you really hit my trust issues i guess. Like i would totally believe his father choosing someone for him to marry and Shoichi just going with it despite what he actually wants. I might have played more of his route if it hadn't ended the update like that, and i'm guessing it does get better, but all i could think of after that is if that had been real life i'd have called the relationship right there.

Been thinking about picking his route up again sometime now that it's beyond that. It's just something that happens for me on a few games and mainly with any scene/character that focuses on trust and loyalty since i've had a lot of betrayal of trust irl to deal with in my life and some games trigger that. That said, i do love the game and it's ability to bring up feels, i've just mainly been playing for Jun/Haruki anymore.
