The demo save file is definitely messing up.
On windows the save is stored in
%AppData%\Godot\app_userdata
couldn't be that different on mac?
I would suggest searching through your files.

hey how did you find it on your mac im having the same exact issue
Open a Finder window, go to your hard drive, then Users > [your user file] > Library > Application Support > Godot > app_userdata
The game should be in there. Hope it works for you!
Hopefully it will lol I'll try it soon I ended up playing it on my android because it works on there perfectly fine for some reason? Thank you though for the help!
