Preliminary thoughts

I played until just after the 1st dungeon, and the updates are outstanding! It feels so good to control, to look at, to play.

I was thinking about a few things that would be nice to have tho:

1) Swinging the sword while holding the shield button. You can do that in the original (I just checked) and it would be nice to have here.

2) Manual saving. Unless I missed something, there is no saving other than autosaving.

3) A "Quit to desktop" option. It just feel awkward to have to close the game via the taskbar.

4) Maybe have a use for the shoulder buttons? All I can think of right now is LB for manual saving, LT to zoom in, RT to zoom out.

Again, this is amazing as it is right now. Hopefully you'll be able to work on it more (before the ninjas come).

How did you get your controller to work on this game??

I second that question. My controller is completely ignored. Perhaps it's because it's a PS5 controller, and an Xbox controller would work fine?

Just use JoyToKey :)

You can also use DS4Windows which can emulate an Xbox 360 controller

I tried that earlier, but I tried it wrong, and just did it correctly. Thanks

No Nintendo PC port is complete without people autistically screeching about ceases and desistisesses. Worst case, I think the developer can play around with the assets and turn Link's Awakening into something more legally distinct. Perhaps swap the characters with ones from Arthurian legend, while keeping most of the map design and story intact. Just a thought I suppose.

Either that or simply ask for players to supply their own Link's Awakening roms, which is what other PC ports do and why they cannot be taken down.

Another thing that is different from the original game is the sword swinging speed. In the original you could spam the attack button and it would attack at the same speed that you press the button, but in this version it seems to have a cooldown before you can swing the sword again. That's my only complaint so far.
