I had a few laughs at the way you explained things and with the overall theme of your game. It was very creative! The background loops nicely and the character animations are a nice touch. The player hit box can be a little large at the bottom of the sprite, which makes jumping over the monster a little difficult. I also had an issue when initially spawning in, a biased data cube would spawn on top of me, so I lost a life immediately. The platforms were a little hard to see against the similar colored background. The character turning red when collecting the wrong type of data was a good bit of visual feedback.
