I dont really see why the night would be usefull, as I have not found anything you can do. In the changelog it states that you should be able to do agility training during the night, but you cant. Still way better then the game breaking if you try thou.
I dont know if this was also happening in 2.0.0 but now i go do agility training and the status bar disapears, escape stops working, etc. This is not always happening, but i dont really know when it is.
Perhaps my savegame is bricked, so this might be a me issue.
