Hello!

I have never played those games before, but I like Dungeon Crawlers (Medieval Fantasy/RPG) myself, so I'll give them a look at some point.

Torches in this game wouldn't make sense as by lore, all adventurers can see very well in the dark, and the Dungeon is already lit by crystals covering the ceiling. Monster encounters are completely random, but you can control them by using items (Monster Lure to increase them to near 100%, and Morbul to decrease them to 0%), you will be able to identify monsters in the battle log in future, and you can already throw some items (such as bombs) although not all of the planned items are added or operational yet.

Lastly, while food or hunger is not enforced as I didn't want to add survival mechanics, eating before going to the Dungeon gives you a boost on the excelia you earn, so eating everyday before dungeoneering is a good idea even if the game won't punish you if you decide otherwise. You can also eat in the Dungeon in the campfire (rest) locations with your party for some random banter, and a full rest, although I haven't updated the script for that in a while so some of the newest party memebers and other planned scenes haven't been added yet.
