ok spoilers indeed, I did not realize in the non-incest path nani had another outcome, sad how you had to choose her life after the RA-63 OD
and yes the boss does have incentive to hide an RA-63 cure, sorta, as an OD is possible to ruin a "product" he may have ramoray keep it secret as a treatment not a cure for OD(though given your choices with nani I suspect it never existed before and ramoray never tried to make it)
truthfully a drug like that that does have a cure would be tricky, it would have to be relegated to OD's  and otherwise kept silent
and funny enough some people are actually better off in the evil path and some worse off, I suspect that is intentional as we all know that life is more complicated than "100% good" and "100% evil"
and some people are the same in both paths, almost like what choices you make should always be a choice, not just a path
I find the lack of choice in how to deal with the forgotten chambers raid is a bit silly, the "FIB" having a clear rouge sect you can manipulate is just as valid as an evil choice, and the gary crash event is also a bit much, you see his mind is destroyed by his reckless choices, if you simply manipulated the raid to go off without a hitch(ie the boss raids the place himself to scrub anything related to the organization and leaves oak on her own) you could let the raid "rescue" the broken ones and your mom(not sure in the non-incest who the raid would be about or if it happens at all yet) and the FIB thinks they won, but either you did good or let them all think you did good

and as for the whole sarah story, I like that they actually allowed path switching, I wish they did that a tad more, evil or good are arbitrary when dealing with a fictional global "escort" company that uses inhibition drugs and surgical alterations, what is evil is what is unnecessary for the takedown/reform what is good is the choice to avoid that unnecessary evil act

GC555, I'm on the Angel/Incest path.

It was a lot to take in regarding the "don't do its" involved in Nani's future recovery and life, as related to Will. There did seem to be the possiblity of a counter-agent to treat her OD. They had to have given her something to stabilize her before they were able to work on her. Given how much RA-63 Nani had in her system, she might have siezed under anesthesia, and then no more Nani. :(

As to the raid, I'm puzzled as to how no-one in the mansion noticed anything. The amount of explosives needed to force the doors pictured would have caused enough of a tremor to set off the mansion's security alarms. Not to mention the blast and overpressure escaping back down the tunnel to the outside. It would have been audible to anyone on the property, and in the surrounding area. (Sorry, one of My best friends is a retired US Army 12-Bravo. ;) I've read the TM's) Not to mention that anyone stupid enough to be in there when it went off would have been wallpaper. Just saying. :D

As for Sarah and the lot, It could well be a no-win scenario for all involved. Twists and turns are common in fiction, if nothing else to keep the reader/viewer guessing and involved. Just as you pointed out, JG.

BTW, if anyone out there reading these cares to jump in, the pool is open. Don't worry, I had the water checked. No RA-63 present. ;)

well yeah, IF there were not MULTIPLE blast doors between the active portions of the mansion and teh "forgotten caverns"
but as the name implies, it is highly likely they sealed off those zones long ago, and "forgot" about them being behind blast doors for "security"
can a blast door mixed with the sheer amount of noise some of the shit ramoray and company would be doing actually not drown out a far-away blast behind multiple blast doors?

I suspect that the map is inaccurate in terms of relative distances, I mean your house is compared to other blocks and you were told you have "several hundred acres" and would the mayor live on less than 100 acres? and what about hiding elsa's house? I suspect the map is basically a zone of several dozen miles in each direction, not just a few city blocks

this fixes the "nearby" flaw and the "shockwave" flaw and even the "noise" flaw of the raid, if you hear a boom muffled by several dozen blast doors, several miles distance, and covered up by local noise, you are unlikely to know what happened, especially if clacks and bangs are part of the local noise floor(very likely in the lab and assuming the vast underground transit system for such a town-wide tunnel system)

but yes, the rest of it is very normal for even a real-world version of the organization(discounting the medical bullshittery) such a story could legitimately happen, and if we did have an "RA-63" they would have a type of "narcan" for it and maybe not a full cure(likely designed by the boss to be ONLY a lifesaving measure and forbidden to make it better), such a treatment may save some women but others may be brain-damaged from the events(they do reference the pituitary gland as part of the cure path, making it likely it is just something akin to anti-depressants and depressant drugs that just target the rational brain's ability to have self-control)

but all in all I want this VN to reach at least 20 chapters of similar length, the idea of maybe even seeing your kids take over and possibly ruin what you did would be just as interesting

I can't imagine what Oak could possibly have been doing down there that would have lulled security into just letting an unknown seismic even slip by. Truth be told, they could just have easily caused the cavern system to collapse. It would be kinda hard to miss if the mansion ended up in it's own sub-basement... Multiple doors or no, that shockwave would spread outwards into the adjoining areas through the bedrock. But, it is a game afer all.

As to scale, The map isn't gridded out, so there's really nothing to go by.

Stopped by the Library and actually read some of the things available. Interesting. As to Will's progeny taking over, why not a prequel taking things back to the flood and it's aftermath, letting a player "get in on the ground floor", when it all starts?

yeah but remember, if you have a large enough system of caverns a single blast can be held back by the secure blast doors given enough distance and layers of doors as the air is a compressible fluid
also remember those tunnels are clearly layered with metal, steel reinforcement can hold back a lot, especially if solid
and I think you are actually overestimating the size of tactical explosives for breaches, most tactical uses of explosives are carefully targeted at weak points in a structure or entryway, often hinges or locks, a small blast can do way more damage than a big one if the placement and shape of the force profile is just right

as for noise, I said RAMORAY not oak was making constant noise(breeding farm, the scene with felicia on the dark path, prison cells, ect) not hard to imagine some heavy machines down there causing a constant drone that an explosion of small magnitude(think a large firework) could be mistaken as a simple "culling" of "unreliable members or products" using a gun, at least from a distance of over a mile(this is based on the clearly straight road blocks around your "several hundred acre home")

scale is estimated as it is fiction and the roads are not "perfect" but if that single block of land is "several hundred acres" then at the very least that means an acreage of 15x15 square, making the plot hilda/mayor/sophia/matilda are on at least that large by relative size

that calculates by rough estimate of the mansion being about 100 acres worth of distance away(I know acres are a square measurement, but the sides are being used as a measurement as I am too lazy to convert for this) or about a couple miles

so as my family lives about 25 miles away from me(give or take a mile or two) I can easily compare real-world distance dropoff of gunshots(when my stepdad goes hunting about 2-3 miles away from me, and find that if I don't hear a gunshot at all when he nabs another deer(don't worry we hunt for more than trophies, and the farmers who allow him to hunt are having trouble with the deer as a kind of pest so it is unlikely to cause much ecological damage anyway) then a small tactical explosion(on the order of <5 lbs of TNT in an underground space with a possible structure to dampen sound waves and blast doors to make multiple baffles) it is entirely believable that a strike team could bust a sealed area open to access OAK's chamber of evil
and no, you can't take any pictures of ruptured walls at face value, no actual FBI(FIB) style tactical insertion to a facility would waste that much explosives and noise, in fact they are more likely to find an insertion point where they can pre-cut with a cutting torch and only the final failure is explosive, and they would even use a carefully drilled hole to inject some form of gaseous incapacitating agent to reduce chances of entrance exposure

but yes, a prequel or "lewd town adventures 2" are welcome ideas, in 2 you see what your descendants do with the organization(either by murdering you(still possible even if ageing is stopped) or by the hinted wear-off of S.P.E.R.M.(no spoilers noobs)) and in the prequel we can see the rise of ramoray and the big boss, and how they did the whore training before the advent or RA-63, maybe it will show us some empathy for ramoray, a bullied girl who can't feel love or lust desperate to fix herself, leading to unethical activities with the goal of just being less broken

GC555,

Long story short, someone, somewhere, would have heard or felt something. Jason especially. At the risk of another Spoiler Alert, he has eyes and ears in places where The Boss doesn't. The Boss may hold the POWER, but Jason holds something just as important. He holds the INFORMATION.

I'm still trying to find the reference again, but what I read mentioned a compound referred to as "Ramoray's Aphrodisiac". And I think it was created before she joined up.

As for additional storylines, perhaps a mini-quest prequel to LTA concerning the Brown/Church arc? That could also be an entirely new game.

I actually gave up trying to accurately measure game map scale back in the days of Sym Cyti 2@@@. I might dust off My copy of that, and use it to create a map of Lewdville just for fun. The area where the game happens is basically a suburb SE of the city proper. I would be interested in having other areas to explore around the city and it's environs.  The trainers have only a finite number of possible recruits within the map area, and sooner or later, that resource will be tapped out. It's like being a pirhana in a guppy tank. Sooner or later, there won't be any guppies left, and the pirhana has a problem...

I'm also honestly surprised that no-one else is joining us in this thread.

Just a couple notes from the co-writer...

We are thoroughly enjoying this conjecture and theorizing. Keep it coming. Its' truly awesome to see. We love you guys for being so intrigued and inspired by our project.

To be technical? the Forgotten Chambers is beneath the cemetery. Behind the Cathedral. Yes, the proximity to the mansion looks to be relatively close, but the caverns beneath Lewd Town are far deeper under ground, since the whole landscape was elevated a little over a century ago... Certainly larger blasts would have caused concern IF the labs and mansion sublevels were located close to the Forgotten Chambers.

The map is a bit misleading, but it's a challenge to keep things legible and fit all these places inside a 1280x720 rectangle. If you look at the key location house sizes vs the buildings on either side, they are massively overproportioned so they stand out from the rest. Example: Pamela's house vs the apartment complex to the right of it. The mansion would technically be about a half-mile farther from the road than it looks like on the map.

In addition to this, while we encourage people to dig deeper into the lore we have created, we also don't want anyone to take things too seriously. Keep the theories and predictions coming, but try not to get upset if they remain theories and predictions without direct validation. It's all good fun and we appreciate the conjecture and love for the world of Lewd Town.

Reading it all is awesome.

It's all in good fun, bandying things back and forth like that. Keep 'em hungry, keep 'em guessing, keep 'em coming back for more. :D

It's too bad no-one else is joining in, though. This could turn into the biggest thread in the forum. :)

BTW, having read the books in the library, I thought I might share this: "And yea the vault of heaven did open, and angels and demons were free to walk among men. Divers creatures both boon and foul did follow them unto the land, and the people did wonder at these marvels"

That is an exerpt from the Coda Talyanii; Book of Regeneration. I wrote that as part of the expanded intro for Slavemaker 3.5 about 10 years ago. ;)

true, but jason shows an aptitude to deciding when to bury information, and while a PREQUEL to ramoray's drug may have existed, she definitely is the one to "perfect" it according to dialog
and yes, we are oddly alone in this thread
