Cause it is pattern for other event. You need to play around with those symbols. I dont think there`s clue in the game yet about how to unlock it, but you definetly can. Its how I did it
There is a note in class 4-1 or 4-2 that has hint to go back in the past.
This create a way to other world. You have to press up to use the portal.
