I've made core combat rules for a new TTRPG I'm working on called Diplos.  It was great to have a deadline to work against to get the first draft finished.  Now that the deadline has been extended, I'm going to work on some sample characters, then see if I can get some playtests together!

I am experimenting with the idea of performing rhymes as an action resolution.

I got the idea from a RPG adaptation of Symphogear (a superhero anime where the magical powers of the characters are powered by singing) that didn't use singing as an action resolution. So I thought if such a mechanic could be done.

Let's see if I end with something that works.

I'm making a simple TTRPG where you play as possum cowboys in the mutated wild west.

Wanted to do a full nightmare challenge. Ended up with something that's mostly setting agnostic and I finally got to implement a deckbuilding type mechanic into a ttrpg for character growth, which I am happy about.
