Moderation is a difficult job, one I truly do not envy, as people will always be in conflict over something. But to be purged from history is no act of justice. In the virtual sense to be erased is truly to die the ultimate death. For what are we here if not only words and pictures. The part that makes us- us, remains in the world, but the part that marks our existence is no more.

All they had to do was ban both parties and be done with it. They didn't have to purge my entire gallery, make up reasons to retroactively justify the purge, then give the instigator nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Moderation isn't hard, and if they wanted to quit there's nothing keeping them there other than what little "status" they gain from being a jannie. It's not like they're being paid.

I can say that this exact page as it is now, is exactly the reason they most likely got purged - also that this isn't helping with the situation but doing the opposite.

Artwork archive is great idea and many artists do this kind of stuff, I absolutely love it especially when it's on platforms where you can leave tip before downloading, it doesn't mean you have to do this kind of stuff as last resort, it's great idea to have in general.

Also invest in NAS to backup your stuff, remember the 3-2-1 backup strategy, never solely rely on anything, were it your local hard drive or booru website on the internet.

What do you mean by this? What page? He was purged from e621 months ago. He just put up this page like yesterday. If you're referring to the admin archive, that was also created in response to (i.e. after) him getting purged and the admins trying to wipe away any trace of what happened.

While it isn't optimal to drag grievances to other places you must understand the amount of frustration that comes with being censored. A little venting and sharing of their viewpoint is reasonable I think.

The irony is that your critique is likely to be guilty of the very thing it's criticising! x3 A truly self-vindicating comment. I hope you can see the humour in what I mean.
