Like already mentioned above the new version is currently test played and I would say that it is ready sometime next month.
1.24 saves arent compatible anymore since I needed to make changes to the skill engine, so I thought it would make more sense to make it unavaiable so people dont get startet now and then can't update to the new version. I think that would be frustratting.
