Frustrating

This game was an exercise in frustration.  There is no defense against status' and if you actually get the money to buy the medicines to cure your sight, the aether drain, or any of the other debuffs, sure you can cure them but they're immediately applied again the next turn of the battle.  If you don't have dozens of these status debuff cures, you're basically running away all the time from battle because you can't see (so you always miss) or you can't hit anything (because it's a ghost and your non-magical attacks do nothing and you use up all your aether restores because the debuff takes 10 aether every turn) or you end up hitting yourself for ridiculous amounts of damage because you're confused every other turn.  The game doesn't *give* you enough money to buy enough of these cures to even finish a few battles.  To add insult to injury, the status doesn't go away at the end of the battle either.  It's permanent until you are able to get a cure *if* you can afford to get one.  I got to the point where I was saving the messenger drake and just quit and gave up.  I couldn't see, every attack blinded me and I ran out of cures and I couldn't run away.

Not a fun experience.

Um...you can go to the blacksmith area within the main college and buy status defense equipment from a student hanging out on the side area to the far right.

Update!

V.2.1 - Made Klarent's Skills Always Hit Through Blind. Remove Status Ailments from Enemy normal Attacks.

First, I'm not saying remove the status effects.  Leave them in as they're a pretty significant part of the combat mechanic.  I'd rather see the cures be more effective (i.e. have the cure protect against a re-application of a status for X# of turns (much like how buffs work)  That way you're not using every turn curing yourself.  And yes, I saw the blacksmith but those items are 100s of coins to get and I never saw anywhere *near* that much money to buy them.   I think the most money I had up to the point of running into the messenger dragon thing was 150.  (All that said, that the status effects are permanent until cured even out of combat is harsh.)

It's a moot point now anyway.
