I just discovered something;
If I exit the game through the pause menu, the game won't crash, but if I close the game or reset it with f5, I will get the error and have to delete the save file.

I downloaded it and tested here. And I'm not getting the error. What are you doing when the error happens? Here is what I did:
- Set the plugins ON
- Started a new game
- Saved the game
- Returned to the title and used the continue
- Returned to the title and used the new game
- Closed the rpg maker test project
- Opened again and repeated the 4 and 5 steps.
Still didn't get any errors here.
