i wonder if the loading screens could have more of a toy vibe? if you're having them there for a long time it could have sth to distract the player so they keep the window on after they finish the puzzle even if the point is to frustrate them. could be as simple as having a tile that it like a flower patch and u ruin it by walking on it and then it slowly regrows so u kind of go back and forth there while waiting
