Wow! That's an unconventional shield! ... So Brill has reclaimed this banner for herself or something, motivating herself and her allies to get stronger.
Or it's some kinda magical banner, like a battle standard?
It's mainly cloth, so the only conductive part would be the rod that it's displayed on, anyway! Which is probably where Brill's holding it from...
It looks like it might be a good all-around shield to maybe work my whole loadout around so maybe don't have to optimize for fight by fight!

Speaking of Shields, I forget why the Gastronomicon is a Shield, since it's alive and stuff, he could be a party member too? Maybe he's just lazy?
