If you mean the new boss fight, a way to prolong the fight is to use the "swap" ability, since the instant defeat only happens when all four active battlers are cursed. If you swap out a cursed party member, it gives you one more turn. So you can keep the battle go on for much longer this way.
The frozen gauntlet is a weapon Brad can get during the trips of the female adventurer trio.
