Why to bother with Barbardom?
- it's an easy game to dive into, with several layers of depth;
- You explore chronicles' tasks, and trading, fighting, building mechanics, packed into the 15-puzzle;
- it's a turn-based strategy with brief and separate game sessions;
- its turn-based nature puts less pressure on you, than my real-time puzzle game about space exploration - Atomohod
- there is a sense of global progress through "masters upgrades", which increase your bonuses;
- it's made for the command line / text mode of DOS (and has the Windows-ready version) - it's a terminal / ASCII-styled game in medieval setting with the PC-speaker sound, giving old-school vibes.
