Worst comes to worst if you just bought it and it's not working, you can contact Itch support and ask for a refund. Unfortunately some Android devices don't like to play nicely with Ren'Py sometimes.
it was a brand new install, an older version worked last year no problem. Phone is a galaxy fold 5, (Tried running in regular, and open modes for the phone). Not sure what JoiPlat is though?
