Chris covered it, but just for "official" clarification: each of the decisions you make in the game is self-contained, in that you can choose to be a nice guy to some people and a horrific monster to others. The game isn't interested in judging your moral choices and telling you that you're a "good" person or a "bad" person. Instead, you'll get the ending(s) that make sense for the choices you made throughout the game :)

The epilogue won't be a single "and then this happened" event. There will be multiple individual events, based on the decisions you made and how you treated people. The idea is to give people the endings that the aimed for.
