i use the itch launcher! the launcher basically auto-sorts installs and everything, which makes it just a smidge more convenient for me (at least for games; tools or asset packs can sometimes be awkward to have to dig up). there's also a secondary itch account for an organization that i'm a part of that i run, so the itch launcher makes it a bit easier for me with regard to switching back and forth between accounts.
recently i've been encountering an issue where the itch launcher won't install a game because of an issue with the build, which apparently can be resolved by downloading it from the web, so sometimes i'll do that but i'm otherwise not too plussed about it
