Whenever version 1.9comes out do I have to install the version, or will it automatically update 1.8 to 1.9?

Since the game isnt using a launcher to play it, its not able to be automaticly updated, so you gonna have to download the new version when its out and just replace the old one with the new one.
The saves are saved in a different location on your computer, so you dont have to worry about loosing progress.
