Yeah I'm reporting this. You get people's email info just to have a link to your patreon.
Indeed, we collect your email to verify your Patreon access level and protect against piracy. Our interest doesn't extend beyond this. A fact that's well-documented in our terms of service, accessible during sign-up and on our website. We've gone to great lengths to make our game's accessibility transparent and user-friendly. If you wish to remove your email from our database, feel free to contact us.
So, what seems to be the problem then? 😹 Thanks for your opinion but nothing you have to say has been accurate: The demo is free and at no point do we employ Digital Rights Management (DRM) systems to restrict or control access to digital content. If you have a fundamental problem with our game, let's keep it simple and move along..
It appears you think we employ DRM based on our conversation. What you are describing is a system that is used to distribute and manage copyrighted works, like music and video streaming on iTunes or game distribution services like Steam. We are in no position to be hosting DRM. Our solution to managing piracy is completely home grown. I can't get into the details for security reasons but I will assure you there is no DRM.
Lolkatz clearly you have never used Patreon or understand the point of patreon, people can lock whatever the hell they want behind a paywall it’s their game, they can do whatever they want with it. I’ve seen plenty of other devs lock mobile releases behind Patreon paywalls plus why does it inconvenience you? Just don’t get it simple like damn- not to mention there are plenty of porn games that copy other porn games and make money off of it and once again why does this inconvenience you enough to pester this dev ab it?
just about every game on itch uses patreon.... I reported it because it's a email bait like I stated. You can use patreon with having people give their emails out. Almost no games do that. It's DRM, like they admitted. I don't have a problem with patreon, and you clearly didn't read what was said. And it's is something to pester the dev about. It's a ridiculous thing to use. No other big games on itch use drm like this. I shouldn't have to give out info to someone to buy and play a game. Put the full version on patreon, and let everyone download it there. As for the mobile. I think it's scummy to not atleast give people a demo to try and lock it behind patreon completely. I don't like buying something unless I know what I'm buying. That's the point of the demo
