You mean the guild quest about finding the lost dog? If so that is in the norther part of the town in one of the buildings.

The item that allows you to see the map is called Vision Stone, you can use them from the Item menu and buy them in tonw. Tell me if that helps.

Yes, that one. But I don't see how to go to the northern part of the town. I can only find an exit to some unfinished area, as well somewhere where I have to buy a house first.

I didn't notice that the vision stone is a one-use item. Maybe provide a permenant version later as well?

You need to get the form whose ability it is to go through grid like fences like the one that locks the way to the northern part.
Those form is link to the quest "Sewer Investigation" that will be unlocked at the guild once you have enough reputation (I think 100 or 125.)

I plan to add a permanent version in the full game that can be acquired later in the game^^
