Im not the one to jugde, but anything that isnt from Patreon or itch.io is considered pirated, no matter how you justify it. Your link was from a pirated site, and the devs does not share or upload on that site.
Trying to threaten with reports because you cant take a hint, that you shared a link of a site that pirates paid content, is considered as offensive behaviour and would not be tolerated either.
