Sorry, what do you mean you've opened the MV template in MZ ? The project files (format) are not compatible between MV and MZ. Could you please elaborate ?
You can copy the "game.rmmzproject" file into any MV project and it will open! (Just be sure to avoid using default art assets from MV in MZ unless you own both ^^')
I don't think you understand what I said. I am trying to open the MV template that the OP provided with MZ. MV and MZ work with different file formats. MZ is using game.rmmzproject as the main file and MV is using game.rpgproject as main. The two are not compatible or interchangeable.
