The control scheme requires the player to use both hands to make it a bit more challenging, i'm glad you liked the game! As for the credits button it simply opens a credits.txt file with the attributions within it, it worked perfectly on windows, are you running the game from source on a different OS? If not simply release the left mouse button after clicking on credits, it'll stop opening the file.
