This is a first time issue for me. I downloaded the .56v but the game will not start or open. Older versions work just fine but it won't run this newer version for PC.
Total shot in the dark, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Sometimes frequently patched games end up with enough junk files that Stuff Just Doesn't Work (TM), and I've definitely noticed that Itch.IO's installer is at best kind of lazy about cleaning up after itself.
Yes, I have uninstalled the older versions and the newer version that did not work and I have reinstalled the newer version. Tried this several times, it still won't load the game. I double click to run, shows the hours glass for a couple seconds, then nothing actually pops up.
After saving the save folder of the working version on the desktop etc., uninstall the entire game and download the new 0.56v again,Why don't you install and restore the saved save folder and try to operate it?
