Very nice game! Personally I would a couple of things to make the game more "fair"
1 - Enemies can shoot diagonally but you can't. This creates scenarios where you can't avoid taking damage. I would suggest making so that the enemies can only shoot straight ahead
2 - You can't shoot while you are jumping! I think it would be a very nice touch!
