What should I do if it ran out of steam keys then? Am I screwed or will I get one somehow? The link doesn't say anything on what to do about it other than contact support which I already did but not getting any replies.

If you have no way of contacting the developer (maybe on Twitter, or via a support mail they have added to their itch.io account), you probably have no option than to wait for support to give you an answer.
