Yes, it's a recurring problem. One known cause is a major ISP in the Philipines not liking our CDN. May I ask where you're connecting from?
I had the same, it was indeed a connection from the Philippines. The ISP here is Globe.
Late reply but it is indeed the Philippines. Globe doesn't like itch.io very much apparently. It was fine for a bit, but then it just went back to being broken lol
