Never heard of this issue before. Looking at the code, the only place the quick_menu is toggled on/off is when you use the laptop (assuming you even got there on day 12). You could try using it to fix this.
If on PC, you can enable the renpy console and use quick_menu = True to show it again.
EDIT: Check the "A" (for autosave) tab. You should have some backups there.
