For real. What's even worse is that he must have initially planned to complete it, due to the actual work being done, then just decided "I can't handle this" and dipped - wasting both his own efforts and our funds simultaneously.
The frustrating part about these events is how they take advantage of people's trust and genuine support - both emotionally and financially. The bank this game would have made, too..
Yeah, I've seen many new projects pop up after this one, that while looking promising, I have not supported all because this person wasn't the only one, that took advantage of their supporters.
Heck even Oppai Games who does finish their games, is sort of controversial right now, because for so many years they were making the Quickie flash games, which showed a sort of Harem story, and when they eventually made their A Love Hotel Story, which even got an eventual Steam release, the development looked like it was also heading in that direction, since it even had threesome scenes, until the dev for some reason decided to ruin everyone's expectations, and when they made the ending for that game, after so many people bought the game on Steam expecting the Harem ending, the developer pulled the rugged right from under everyone, and made the player have to break up with all the women, before finally choosing one to settle down with, and then to add insult to injury, a week later after this developer created that ending, they decided to make drawings on their Patreon page, supposedly because of a "commission", where it looked like it would have been the orgy ending, as the MC was surrounded by all the women in bed for the game, after a good night of fun with them, and when people demanded that the developer add that to the game, they just simply refused and said they weren't changing anything, which is just very frustrating as you can't just trust these developers.
Another very frustrating dev is TsunAmie, the developer of Haremon, as for Pete's sake the game combines HAREM+MON in its title, yet this developer also midway into development of the game, decided to change the game's systems so that you can only have a monogamous relationship with the girls, and while there exists a patreon only cheat that would get around that, unfortunately the cheat does not work very well and it also messes up with some things in the game, which basically makes it pointless, and I find it insane that people keep supporting that dev on Patreon, after all they have done, and how after so many years they have not come even close to finishing that slop of a game, as when the game was first released, even if it was pretty bare bones and even the art was very inconsistent because of all the artists and stuff, it had a charm as one of the new projects up in the works at that time was not made by asian developers, but by today's standards with so much content on Steam alone for adult games, it just should not work and people should not be paying for it, especially considering that there are far better games in need of actual support that don't receive it...
