If you mean in the intro, there hasn't been any change to the bus scene since the game was launched. And the player kind of lives outside of town, so there simply weren't many other people on the bus at that time :-)

Yes, sorry but that was unavoidable for this particular update. That's why we added the "Skip to..." option in the main menu, so you can skip parts you may not want to play again.
