The difficulty adjustment items should not have been changed. You should get them upon entering a certain dungeon, and then will gain more at some further dungeons. I don't recall off the top of my head which dungeon gives you the first ones, but it's probably the first dungeon. As for the cheat item, that is supposed to be a benefit for the patron version of the game. If you got it at some point, it's because I forgot to patch it out when releasing the game publicly.
