Hi there! I really love the software and have been using it a lot recently. I was just wondering, what is the scale down the bottom? Which unit of measurement is it in because metres seems very small but miles seem very large...

Those are meters (or yards if you click the scale). The largest "large" cities turn out to be about 1km in diameter and I guess that's around 2 times smaller than the largest real cities in 13th century. Maybe I should adjust it, the conversion rate from abstract units I use internally to meters was chosen rather arbitrarily :)
