Hiring professionals for hgames development is not feasible, since programmers and artists aren't minimum wage workers.

The average programmer's salary in US is 5000 USD per month, same goes to professional animators as well. 

So far the sales of the game, also put piracy into account, just isn't good enough to afford professionals in the development team for the long run.

Furthermore, it's extremely hard to attract professionals to join hgame development, since having a hgame project in their portfolio just straight up reduce their chances to get hired in other large businesses. So even if they joined the development team, their loyalty and discipline tend to be extremely low.

That's the truth, but damn... it hurts. The only thing we have is hope, but it's a thin ice. I occasionally see some bigger budget projects (I have carnal instinct in mind), so maybe it gets better, but at this point, you're absolutely right, what a shame
