Cool! I'm really excited to play more. I finished the whole demo and only have one lollypop left to find. This is one of the highest quality games made in GBStudio and every single thing you're doing shines.
I can't wait to see the other worlds since this forest one already looks so good. I'm taking notes at every screen to improve my own graphics. And I love the characters and personality that shines through
Some other critiques after finishing the demo:
- The boss music doesn't feel very dramatic
- I think charging the boo jump could stand to be faster
- I got confused where I could walk on the map after level 3
- If possible, indicating that the player collected everything in each level (or not) on the map would be great. Like maybe a check mark sprite or something
- It starts off very challenging. That's a choice but I wanted to let you know in case you want to start it off easier
