Re-check Mr. Mar's bed and the to room directly next to Mr. Mar's. Theres one thing on the bed and two things you need to look at in the room, ones an item to be picked up the other is the broken glass.

7 years ago! I hope you solved it as I find myself in the same predicament. Nothing I do advances the story. Ive found the things mentioned but no people other than the Dr to talk to and she just says the same thing about him only recently died.
