You will probably be able to skim some of the lore from there, but not in general. The Internet in-game exists for information gathering on more mundane matters, such as events in the world or relevant people. It also has an entertainment aspect to it, like the little bits of written erotica you can find on it already, or the ability to look up cats. While random, those things too have game-play implications.

Most of the lore goes into in-game books (which is why we have such an extensive document system), with the intent of it being all processed down to the character knowledge trees about various topics.
