What does it mean?
The word saif (سَـيْف)means sword. ...As for the word Shamshir(شَـمْـشِـير), I had not heard of it before.. I thought it was an Indian word, but I remembered that the new update talk is about the Bedouins.
I think it is an old Persian (Iranian) sword..but I still think that the word is Indian
