Very silly aesthetic! Love the tongue-in-cheek style, and the voice acted cutscenes. Unfortunately, I found the player way too clunky to control, and the hitbox much too large to dodge any of the first enemy's bullets, so I was unable to get very far. Maybe you could add a crouch/duck mechanic so that the player could more easily squeeze through the gaps between bullets? But overall, a good start!

Maybe I will add a crouch mechanic if I do a re-make, but the hitboxes are already as small as possible.
