My envisioning is that the platform on the right is designed for players to practice jumping. There is a higher platform on the right, and players may try to jump from there to reach the flower. However, they will soon realize that this is not possible (it's a small trap😉). Afterwards, players will think about how to get the flower. Once they solve the problem, they will realize that the quickest way to get the flower is to jump from where they are (it's a shortcut).
