I-I think I did not expect to be hit with the feels so suddenly and perhaps I'm just in a melancholic mood to begin with, but this absolutely made the tears start flowing. When our friend started crying. And the tears were just like. There. And flowing down their cheeks. And the way their little face scrunched up. I lost it. GOD.
UMMMM.
This was beautiful. Honestly. Beautiful. Poignant. Heart rendingly tear-worthy. It's just such a Moment. Everything about it is so well done. The soft colors of the artwork that juxtapose the horrible reality of what's about to happen. The sweet face of our friend as we talk about the life we could have had together and finally let out some of the truths we had about wanting to be together. And knowing that none of that is going to happen. It's so bittersweet.
Everything about it was just so well-done, too???? The animations and expressions of our friend -- they are too cute I wanted to sob (even more than I already was). Their design is so precious! And I absolutely love the art style. Couple that with the soft and sweet UI and the melancholy music. It just makes for an absolutely lovely yet heart-wrenching experience that will leave you sitting there for a few minutes afterwards trying to like... come to terms with what just happened.
I really enjoyed this a lot. It's definitely going to sit with me a while!! And I wish I got to spend more time with our friend and we really could get that apartment together and take care of a pet... 😭💦💕
