Thank you for playing! In order to go upstairs you need the gas can from the fishing room, to remove the arms / eyes blocking the entrance. The key to the fishing room, detailed about in Charles journal, is located in the bathroom, look through the cracked wood in the bathroom and you will find it. Hope this helps!
