Generally, as the creative mind behind the game jam, it’s important to communicate the objectives and expectations of the event clearly, so that everyone can make a decision about their participation. While offering prizes or rewards can be a lovely way to show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of the jammers, it depends on what the host wants and can do about it. Whatever the decision may be for each case, I believe that the most important thing is for everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves while learning and growing together through the experience.
